Every year, the Minister for ecology, sustainable development and sptial planning selects the topics upon which the Inspectorate of classified installations may carry out, under the authority of departmental prefects, significant or systematic multi-year action :

• He defines annual targets,

• He specifies the methodological and technical tools available or to be made available to the Inspectorate in order to implement these actions

• He determines the indicators to assess the challenges, performance of the services and results.
